What’s new in ModelRisk 5.0?
Vose Software is pleased to announce the release of ModelRisk 5.0. ModelRisk is a Monte Carlo risk analysis and Optimization add-in for Microsoft Excel. We are convinced that once you try out ModelRisk you will find it offers a quantum leap in the development of risk analysis software. We have added a lot of extra features to make sure you have the most extensive and complete set of tools to manage your risks and uncertainty in a very familiar spreadsheet setting.
Improved Results Viewer A key feature of ModelRisk is the way that simulation results can be viewed and shared with our Results Viewer application. In ModelRisk version 5 we have given the Results Viewer a complete facelift. You are still able to fully customize the graphs and store the results in a separate file that can be reviewed and edited with the free stand-alone Results Viewer application, but with the following improvements:
The Results Viewers is a powerful application that generates Histogram, Cumulative Ascending and Descending, Pareto, Box, Spider, Tornado, Scatter and Trend Plots. The layout and color scheme of each chart can easily be changed and the statistics and data list are also one mouse-click away. PK/PD (Pharmacokinetic /Pharmacodynamic ) Tool
Optimal Fit ModelRisk already has the capability to fit distributions, correlation structures and time series models to data that will automatically update if the data change. ModelRisk version 5 now includes the ability to choose a set of candidate distributions, etc. to fit to the data and automatically select the optimal-fitting among them directly in your spreadsheet through the OptimalFit set of functions. The result is you can build simpler, transparent and more flexible models around your data. Extra Database Connectivity Functions ModelRisk already offers a powerful feature that allows the user to make live connections to various types of databases, and fit distributions, correlation structures and time series models to these data. Building on this capability, ModelRisk version 5 now also offers a complete list of statistical analyses of the data in these databases directly in the spreadsheet through 12 new functions. New Combined Installation File A key confusion when installing ModelRisk has been around whether the user has a 32- or 64-bit version of Excel. The ModelRisk installation file now automatically detects the latest version of Excel installed on your machine and selects the appropriate version of ModelRisk to install. | |||||||||||||||||

Discounts and Switching Offers until the end of the year
Our "Switch to ModelRisk" promotion in the beginning of the year was a huge success. We know that a lot of people would like to switch over to ModelRisk from their current risk analysis software and take advantage of the extra capabilities of ModelRisk, but can't justify the full expense. Therefore we are launching a new deal until the end of 2012.
